Lance Sigmon is a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel with 21 years of active duty service, 17 of those years as a judge advocate (JAG). Since his retirement in 2005, he has defended numerous active duty members from all branches of the military (including the U.S. Coast Guard) at various installations in both the CONUS and Europe. During his military career, he personally presided as a military judge in more than 70 courts-martial, litigated over 100 courts-martial, and worked on over 800 courts-martial on appeal. He handled a wide variety of charges - from desertion, AWOL, drug use and possession to assault, theft, sexual offenses, rape, and murder. Having spent four years as an enlisted member, Mr. Sigmon developed a unique understanding of the dynamics between enlisted members and their commanders.
